Alex Jaffe

Alex Jaffe is Branch Sales Manager of our Chevy Chase office, and a Senior Loan Officer working with clients throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

In his 16+ year career since 2007 Alex has closed over 2,500 loans and has ranked within the top 200 of loan officers in the nation since 2015 (by business volume). Alex is also ranked in the top 10 of loan officers in DC (by business volume) and has received recognition annually by various publications including the Washingtonian which recognizes top loan officers based on reviews by Realtors. Alex is proud of his reputation in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) real estate community, as most clients come to him by way of past client recommendations or Realtor recommendations. Alex teaches the Advanced Real Estate Finance class for the Greater Capital Area Realtors Association (having taught it more than a dozen times) as well as hundreds of first-time home buyer classes. Alex was awarded the Key to the City from the DC Housing Finance Agency for closing the very first DC Open Doors loan in 2013, and in 2023 he was awarded the Legends Award for closing the most DC Open Doors loans in the past decade (250-300 and counting).

As a manager, Alex oversees his team and the workflow (the people who work on his clients’ loans) and supports the 15+ loan officers in the Chevy Chase branch. Alex is a past President of the DC Alumni Club for the University of Michigan, which has ~20,000 members. Alex lives in Washington, DC with his wife Jackie and sons Louie, Cole, and Moe. Alex enjoys most of his time with his kids. In addition to sports and games with them, he also enjoys hiking, spending time in, on, and around the Chesapeake Bay, spinning, supporting the University of Michigan, and cooking, baking, and barbequing.
